Testing the signal conditioning circuit.

     To test the incoming signal from the strain gauge sensor, a series of resistor and trimmers are used to simulate the function of the strain gauge. The resistors and trimmers are arranged to form a wheatstone bridge where the signal is fed into the INA114BP instrumentation amplifier. The amplifier gain is controlled by the RG of pin 1 and pin number 8. a 10k Ohm resistor is used as the RG to create gain of 6 as shown in the above figure.

 

The trimmers functions as a strain gauge where its values are adjusted to change the amplifier’s output voltage.
