Hi guys, here's a story about myself.
I was born on 4th of September 1977 at general hospital Kuala Terengganu. I was raised at one of the Teachers Quarters in Bukit Tunggal, Kuala Terengganu. That quarters was said to be haunted but i never saw any ghost those days. Anyway, my parents did saw ghosts so many times but they still decided to stay there. None of the teachers would stay longer than 5 months but we stayed on up to 6 years. I'm so proud of my parents.
1986 was the year that I've been waiting for. We moved to KL as my dad got a new job as an examination officer. Being KL-ians made me feel really good especially when my relatives was around. Before that, going to KL was like going somewhere very far far away as if like going overseas. Once in a while when my family & I went back to grandpa's house at Kuala Telemong, Kuala Terengganu, we were really welcomed by our relatives. The whole village are my relatives. well that was before....
After Secondary school, I went to further my study at PPPITM where i did Electronics Engineering during my freshman and sophomore year. I was accepted in Lehigh University, Pensylvania, US but I can't go there due to economic downturn. Damn! i was just about to go. Passport was done, flight ticket has been booked by JPA but they cancelled it. Therefore, I just continue studying at UTM, Skudai.
During my final year, I do part time job as a research assistant at Gas Technology Centre (GASTEG). The research that i did was actually for my final year project. That means i was paid for my final year project. Once I graduate, I'm still work there but as a Research Officer (RO). After a year, I decided to work somewhere else.
So I move to Sime Sembcorp Engineering (Formerly known as Sime Sembawang, but now known as Sime Darby Engineering). I work as a Management Trainee and was bonded for 1.5 years due to no reasons. They told me that the bond was due to "on the job training" but I don't think that it would incur that much cost to the point that I have to be bonded. If i were to quit, I'll have to pay RM10000.00 to the company. Therefore I consulted the MTUC & a couple of lawyers (which happens to be my friends) & found out that the contract was not valid. So I quit. Then, there were a few other management trainees followed my step.
Then I work at British Malaysian Institute (BMI) as an assistant lecturer. I teach 2 subjects: Microprocessor & C programming Language (even though I didn't have the skills but manage to work it out). It's a good job & good pay. but I can't go further for my master few years to come. They have the further study scheme but I'll have to wait for my ques & the earliest could be in 5 years time...
Suddenly I received a call from KUTKM for job interview as a tutor. So I went there & secured the job a few days later.... Eventhough the pay was less but the opportunity to go for Master (fully paid & sponsored) was the thing that i've been looking for. So I grabbed the opportunity & after 2 semesters as a tutor at KUTKM, then I flew to Melbourne for Masters study.
Now, I'm a final semester student at RMIT University in Melbourne, & stay at Malaysia Hall.
